Hands Up

My work is a form of self care that aims to engage with and provide a mirror for audiences that can often feel excluded or underrepresented by art institutions in the UK. Sculpture, performance, curation and craft workshops are all great ways to create spaces where communities can intersect and inspire each other.
I draw lots of white men sometimes, sexy ones and not sexy ones. I also draw strength and inspiration from West African theology, environmental activism and the history of the oppressed, working along side LGBTQ groups, religious choirs, homeless shelters and environmental sustainability workshops.
