Sam Carvosso

My practice attempts to observe the relationships between found objects, made sculpture and language, in order to create illusive, ambiguous narratives. I work within a known sculptural language as a currency from which forms and material are taken. Geometric forms from Richard Deacon, crumpled steel sculptures from John Chamberlain and colours from Philip King are all referenced throughout my work.  These are then flipped, stretched and intertwined with found objects, images and titles randomly compiled together.
